Lumen Field in Seattle's SoDo neighborhood is home to the Seattle Sounders FC — the club with one of the largest and most passionate supporter bases in MLS. The stadium holds around 37,700 for soccer and the Sounders have regularly sold it out since joining MLS in 2009. The atmosphere, driven by ECS (Emerald City Supporters) and a wide array of supporter groups, is consistently among the loudest and most visually impressive in North American soccer.
The SoDo location is well-served by Link Light Rail to Stadium station, right outside the main gates, connecting fans from across the Seattle metro area. Occidental Avenue S and the surrounding streets have bars and restaurants for pregame, and Pioneer Square is an easy walk. The Sounders' pregame march from Occidental Square is one of the great matchday traditions in MLS — worth participating in or at minimum watching before kickoff.

Sealed water bottles are allowed into the stadium.
Outside food must be a single serve and in a clear bag or original packaging.
The stadium is a clear bag only venue. Guests are encouraged to limit the number of items they bring with them to the stadium.

Value Menu
Save on concessions by shopping the Value Menu located all around the Lumen Field. Head to Sections 149, 109, 116, 124, 135, 214, and 230 for a $5 hot dog. Or grab some fresh $3 popcorn in sections 149, 116, and 124. Locate all our value menu and more concession options HERE.
Hot Dog of the Match
Stop by concessions to grab the Hot Dog of the Match! Every regular season match features the Versus Dog, a special hot dog tailored to the opponent they are playing. The Hot Dog of the Match is at the Pacific Northwest Grill outside of Section 113.
The Sounders have arguably the strongest supporter culture in MLS — the ECS and other groups generate extraordinary atmosphere throughout Lumen Field, with tifo displays, flares, and coordinated chanting from kickoff. The Sounders regularly fill a 69,000-seat NFL stadium for soccer matches, something essentially unmatched in American professional soccer.
When 40,000+ fans are in full voice at Lumen Field, it's one of the loudest sporting environments in North America. The south end of the stadium — where the Sounders' most dedicated supporters stand — generates thunderous noise that carries throughout the entire venue. If you attend one MLS game in your life, a big Sounders night at Lumen Field is the one.
Before every Seattle Sounders home game, thousands of supporters march from Occidental Park in Pioneer Square down to Lumen Field — a tradition that has become one of the great pre-match rituals in American soccer. The March creates a procession of green-and-blue scarves through downtown Seattle that feels as much a community event as a sports ritual.
Possibly 300 for bigger groups. Sounders FC and the visiting team's front office and/or supporter groups arrange the section.

You can find a selection of songs and chants on the Emerald City Supporters website, or on the Sounders website.
In the Stands offers apparel for fans who enjoy visiting ballparks and stadiums. While we all have our favorite teams, there are times when they aren't the ones playing. Our goal is to create a sense of community and camaraderie whenever you see someone wearing In the Stands apparel.
