Children's Mercy Park opened in 2011 in Kansas City, Kansas — just west of downtown Kansas City, Missouri — and has been home to Sporting Kansas City ever since. It holds just under 18,500 fans in a purpose-built soccer stadium with a distinctive design and one of the better atmospheres in MLS. The covered south stand, where Sporting's supporter group (The Cauldron) concentrates, creates a wall of noise that carries throughout the ground.
The stadium is in the Village West entertainment district in KCK, surrounded by the Legends outdoor shopping area and a cluster of restaurants and bars. The location is accessible by car from both Kansas Cities, with ample parking in the surrounding lots. Kansas City's transit doesn't extend efficiently to the stadium, so driving or ridesharing is the realistic approach for most fans. The Cauldron's display work and constant support make matchday at Children's Mercy Park one of the more authentic American soccer experiences.

Outside drinks are not permitted. Parents with small children may bring plastic bottles of formula or milk.
Outside food and beverages are not permitted, with the exception of food allergy needs and infant food.
Clear bag policy is in effect. Clear bags no larger than 12" x 12" x 6" are permitted. Small clutch purses no larger than 4.5" x 6.5" are also permitted. Backpacks of any kind are not permitted. Medical and diaper bags are permitted with inspection.
Main Concourse - Consistently ranked among the best BBQ in the country, Joe's brings their legendary smoked meats to Children's Mercy Park. The Z-Man sandwich — brisket with smoked provolone and an onion ring — is the only order.
Section 112 - Authentic Kansas City taqueria-style tacos served fresh. The barbacoa and carnitas tacos represent KC's strong Mexican food culture and are a highlight of the matchday menu.
Throughout the Stadium - Kansas City's beloved craft brewery pours their Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale and rotating seasonals. Boulevard is part of KC's identity and a natural choice for a Sporting KC match.
The Cauldron is Sporting KC's supporters section — a standing-only, raucously loud end of Children's Mercy Park that's been voted the best supporter section in MLS multiple times. The supporter group generates wall-to-wall noise for the full 90 minutes, with coordinated chants, smoke, and tifo displays that make it one of MLS's premier supporter experiences.
Children's Mercy Park, which opened in 2011 in Kansas City, Kansas, is consistently ranked among the best soccer-specific stadiums in MLS. The compact 18,500-seat design keeps fans close to the pitch and traps noise brilliantly. The facility has hosted multiple MLS All-Star Games and was purpose-built for the sport with exceptional sightlines throughout.
Sporting KC's Cauldron — sections S1–S9 at Children's Mercy Park — is widely considered the best supporter section in MLS. Standing for the full 90, wall-to-wall chanting, smoke, and some of the most creative tifo in the league. The Cauldron has won multiple supporter section awards. Non-Sporting KC apparel is not permitted in the supporter sections.
In the Stands offers apparel for fans who enjoy visiting ballparks and stadiums. While we all have our favorite teams, there are times when they aren't the ones playing. Our goal is to create a sense of community and camaraderie whenever you see someone wearing In the Stands apparel.
