Petco Park opened in 2004 in San Diego's East Village neighborhood and is consistently ranked among the best ballparks in baseball. It holds just over 42,000 fans and integrates the Western Metal Supply Co. building — a brick warehouse from 1909 — into the left field corner, giving it a genuine historical anchor. The sight lines are excellent throughout, the park is open and airy, and San Diego's near-perfect weather means the outdoor experience is reliably comfortable.
East Village is one of San Diego's most dynamic neighborhoods, with a dense collection of bars, restaurants, and breweries within easy walking distance of the ballpark — particularly along Park Boulevard and Petco Park's surrounding plaza. The San Diego Trolley's Blue Line stops at 12th & Imperial Transit Center, a 10-minute walk away. The Gaslamp Quarter is directly adjacent for more dining and nightlife options after the game. It's one of the most complete ballpark neighborhood experiences in MLB.
