America First Field in Sandy, Utah serves as home to Utah Royals FC in the NWSL, sharing the venue with Real Salt Lake in MLS. The stadium opened in 2008 and holds just over 20,000 fans in a covered, purpose-built soccer ground. The Wasatch Mountains visible beyond the open end of the stadium create one of the more dramatic natural backdrops in women's soccer — especially on clear days when the peaks are snow-capped.
The TRAX Red Line light rail stops at Sandy Civic Center, a short walk from the stadium gates, making it accessible from downtown Salt Lake City in about 30 minutes. Sandy is a suburban community rather than a walkable neighborhood, so transit is the most practical approach from the city. The Utah Royals have a committed supporter base that creates solid atmosphere, and the shared infrastructure with RSL means the matchday setup is professional and well-organized.
