CPKC Stadium in Kansas City opened in 2024 as the first stadium in North America built specifically for a women's professional sports team. The Kansas City Current made the decision to build their own venue rather than share a facility, and the result is one of the best soccer-specific grounds in the NWSL — holding around 11,500 fans in a compact, purpose-designed stadium on the banks of the Missouri River just west of downtown.
The riverfront location is a genuine asset — the view of the river and the downtown Kansas City skyline from the stadium is one of the better settings in women's soccer. The surrounding West Bottoms neighborhood is developing, with a growing collection of bars and restaurants nearby. Public transit is limited, so most fans drive, but the compact stadium and dedicated parking make arrival smooth. The intimate scale means the atmosphere is concentrated and lively.

Main Concourse - Kansas City barbecue at a women's soccer stadium feels exactly right. CPKC Stadium features local BBQ with proper burnt ends, pulled pork, and smoked brisket sandwiches that honor the city's best tradition.
West Side Terrace - The best seat for a drink at CPKC is the terrace bar overlooking the Missouri River. Boulevard Brewing — KC's hometown craft brewer — is well represented on tap here. Worth the short walk from your seat at halftime.
East Concourse - Made-to-order street tacos with KC's Latin community influence. Chorizo and barbacoa options reflect the city's growing taqueria scene.
Multiple bars - Beyond Boulevard, the Current have brought in wine and cider options that make CPKC one of the more sophisticated beverage environments in women's soccer. The stadium was designed with the full fan experience in mind.
